Location: Durham, North Carolina 27713
Pay Rate: $17 to $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Temp to perm

Summary
The Mailroom Clerk supports a high volume mail center by opening, sorting, distributing, and processing incoming materials in a structured office environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently with minimal customer interaction. The position also supports shipping, receiving, document handling, and general mailroom operations to help keep daily workflows accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
• Open, sort, and distribute high volume mail and medical records while maintaining accuracy and following established processing procedures
• Support mailroom, shipping, receiving, scanning, copying, and document handling functions to ensure smooth day to day operations
• Operate and monitor mailroom and office equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, maintain supplies, and escalate equipment issues when needed
• Maintain logs, records, and work areas while assisting with deliveries, office support tasks, and other operational duties as assigned

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED with one to two years of related mailroom, office services, shipping, receiving, or document processing experience
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay focused, work independently, and manage repetitive tasks in a quiet, high volume environment
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn mailroom, scanning, copying, and document handling equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds preferred, along with strong reliability, problem solving skills, and clear communication
