Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Mailroom Associate for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in San Diego, CA. This role supports daily mailroom, shipping, receiving, copy center, and light facilities operations in a fast-paced professional office environment.

The Mailroom Associate is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day, working independently, supporting internal teams, and delivering excellent service. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, hands-on training, and the opportunity to build long-term experience in administrative support, records support, shipping and receiving, and office services.

Key Responsibilities

- Process, sort, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipments.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying packing slips, preparing packages, and following established procedures.
- Maintain copiers, printers, and office equipment by restocking supplies, addressing basic issues, and escalating repair needs when appropriate.
- Provide light facilities support, including supply restocking and general office services assistance.
- Deliver professional customer service to internal employees, clients, vendors, and visitors.
- Follow mailroom, shipping, receiving, equipment, and workplace safety procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job type: Contract, temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
- Location: San Diego, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and distribute mail, packages, and office shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Support shipping and receiving functions, including package preparation and packing slip verification.
- Maintain copy machines and office equipment with supplies and basic troubleshooting support.
- Provide customer service and light facilities support in a professional office setting.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of mailroom, shipping and receiving, copy center, office services, or related experience required.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures required.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and remain physically active throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach.
- Valid driver's license may be required. If hired as a full-time employee, driving duties and minimum auto insurance requirements may apply.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience maintaining copiers, printers, or other office equipment.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced corporate office, mailroom, copy center, or facilities support environment.
