We’re recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a reliable, customer-focused Mailroom Associate to support the student mailroom. This role is hands-on and fast-paced. Perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, helping students, and keeping operations running smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Receive, check in, sort and distribute student mail and packages
- Verify recipient information and manage package pick-ups and sign-outs
- Maintain orderly mailroom spaces and assist with occasional inventory tasks
- Use PC systems to log and track incoming/outgoing items and produce reports
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at the counter and via phone/email
- Perform other mailroom and light clerical duties as needed
Who we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience preferred (retail, customer service, mailroom, campus roles)
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Comfortable with repetitive walking, standing and lifting throughout a shift
- Basic PC skills (email, data entry, simple reporting) and solid organizational ability
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player; able to prioritize and follow procedures
Physical demands:
- Regular walking, standing, bending, reaching and occasional climbing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50–55 lbs (assistance provided for heavier items)
- Occasional use of carts/dollies to move larger/bulk items; may involve walking between buildings
