Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mail Service Associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Saint Louis, MO. This role supports a professional banking and consumer lending environment by ensuring mail, packages, parcels, and office service requests are handled accurately, securely, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Sort, process, and distribute incoming mail, packages, parcels, and interoffice correspondence accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare outgoing mail and shipments using postage machines, scales, mailing systems, and carrier platforms such as FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL.
- Receive deliveries, verify package details, coordinate pickups, and maintain accurate tracking logs for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by responding to mailroom inquiries and service requests.
- Maintain mailroom supplies, equipment, inventory, documentation, and delivery records.
- Follow mailroom procedures, safety standards, and security protocols for confidential and sensitive materials.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $17.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and interoffice correspondence.
- Manage shipping, receiving, package tracking, delivery logs, and carrier coordination.
- Support mailroom customer service requests and general office service needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and efficient mailroom environment.

- 1 to 2 years of mailroom, shipping/receiving, office services, or related administrative support experience preferred.
- Knowledge of USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with package tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, and postage meters.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented office environment.
- Professional approach to handling confidential, sensitive, and time-critical materials.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a corporate mailroom, financial services office, banking environment, or high-volume office services setting.
- Familiarity with internal package tracking systems and mailroom reporting.
- Experience supporting time-sensitive, confidential, or regulated business documents.
