Machinist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to perform a variety of machining operations from setup through production. This role works from technical drawings, work orders, and instructions to manufacture precision parts while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions
• Verify dimensional accuracy using standard inspection tools and gauges
• Monitor production runs and maintain quality standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting and collaborate with engineering or programming as needed
• Use hand tools, inspection tools, and machine tooling to complete assignments
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and properly care for company equipment

Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years of machining experience
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience setting up fixtures, tooling, and machining equipment
• Ability to work from written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Experience
• Experience with CNC and manual machining equipment
• Familiarity with common machine controls (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.)
• Experience with mills, lathes, routers, waterjets, or similar equipment
• Basic understanding of inspection tools and measurement systems

Additional Skills
• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members
• Comfortable providing feedback or working with engineering/programming teams when needed
