We are seeking skilled Machinist I-III candidates for direct hire opportunities in Orlando, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate machining equipment including Prototrak mills, CNC mills, CNC lathes, and related precision manufacturing equipment.
- Create, edit, and troubleshoot conversational programs or G and M code programs based on machine type and job requirements.
- Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, inserts, offsets, and workholding methods to produce quality parts efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and GD&T callouts to machine parts to print specifications.
- Perform in-process and first article inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, precision measuring tools, and CMM as needed.
- Maintain production documentation, follow safety procedures, keep the work area organized, and communicate job status, tooling needs, and quality concerns.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $27 to $30 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Location: Orlando, FL.
- Openings: Multiple positions available for CNC mill, Prototrak mill, and CNC lathe machinists.
- Shifts: First shift is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Second shift is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
- Overtime: Saturday overtime may be available. For second shift, overtime may involve starting at 1:00 PM instead of 3:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Set up and operate Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming.
- Set up and operate 3-axis and multi-axis CNC machining centers, including offsets, work coordinates, probing routines, and first article adjustments.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, including 2-axis and live tooling configurations, while holding tight diameter and length tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining programs, optimize tooling, and produce parts within tight tolerances and specifications.
- 1 to 2 or more years of machining experience required.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following required: grinding, Prototrak milling, CNC milling, or CNC lathe machining.
- Working knowledge of G and M code programming required for CNC mill and CNC lathe roles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and GD&T callouts required.
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM as needed.
- Ability to select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, inserts, boring bars, and machining parameters.
- Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and ability to communicate proactively with leadership and team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, repetitive hand motion, and work requiring fine motor skills and close visual attention.
- Must be able to work on-site in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coolants, oils, metal chips, dust, and moderate to high noise.
- Must follow PPE requirements, including safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Prototrak conversational controls for milling.
- Experience with Fanuc, Milltronics, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machining centers.
- Experience with CNC lathe live tooling configurations.
- Experience running first articles and making program adjustments to meet print dimensions.
