We are seeking a CNC/Machine Operator 3rd Shift for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Marcos, CA. This role supports a machine shop that uses CNC-controlled laser equipment to produce precision parts for the electronics industry. Required Qualifications and Skills

Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC-controlled laser equipment and other CNC machines such as lathes or milling machines to produce quality parts.
- Load parts, operate machine controls, set offsets, make simple edits, prove tapes, and support production setup activities.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, manuals, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to quality standards and perform deburring as needed.
- Identify machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and make adjustments within assigned capabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $19 to $21 per hour DOE plus a $0.50 third-shift differential.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Third shift, Monday at midnight through Saturday at 8:00 AM.
- Location: San Marcos, CA.
- Operate CNC-controlled laser machines and support precision part production.
- Perform machine loading, offset adjustments, simple edits, deburring, and part inspection.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and machining requirements.
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and shop personnel to support production goals.
- 1+ years of machine operation, CNC operation, laser cutting, machining, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools and inspect parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Understanding of quality standards, production procedures, and safe machine operation.
- Ability to recognize equipment issues, out-of-tolerance conditions, or quality concerns and report them promptly.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to work third shift.
- Ability to keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC lasers, CNC mills, CNC lathes, or similar automated machining equipment.
- Experience producing parts for electronics, precision manufacturing, or high-tolerance production environments.
- Familiarity with basic preventative maintenance in a machine shop setting.
- Ability to make minor machine adjustments and simple program edits under supervision.
