Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Machine Operators for a direct hire opportunity within a manufacturing environment supporting the medical supplies industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on production professional with strong slitting and/or coating experience, solid machine operation skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and consistent output.
This opportunity offers long-term stability in a structured production environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and dependable performance are highly valued. The right candidate will work with supportive leadership, collaborate closely with production and quality teams, and have the opportunity to take ownership of machine performance, workflow, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate slitting equipment according to SOPs, work instructions, product specifications, and production schedules.
- Load raw materials, unload finished goods, and verify materials against bills of materials and product requirements.
- Monitor process variables, conduct in-line quality checks, and adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and quality documentation.
- Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance and report equipment or measuring device issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement efforts, train Slitting Helpers, and serve as machine lead when needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $41,600 to $52,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate slitting and/or coating machinery in a production environment while maintaining quality and output standards.
- Perform in-line quality checks using approved measuring devices and adjust machine settings as needed.
- Maintain production documentation, equipment logs, and safe material handling practices.
- Support preventive maintenance, workflow coordination, and training for helpers when required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have slitting and/or coating experience.
- 2 to 4 years of specific machine operator experience.
- Basic reading comprehension and math skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl during 12-hour shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, reliability, and ability to follow written work instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment and communicate production or quality concerns clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the PSA, pressure-sensitive adhesive, or tape industry.
- Previous experience serving as a machine lead or training production helpers.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices in a manufacturing or converting environment.
