Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Cayey, PR. This role is ideal for a manufacturing leader who is passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, and building high-performing production teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
The Manufacturing Manager will lead Manufacturing Excellence initiatives across production areas, using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, DMAIC, and world-class manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, strengthen quality, and increase employee engagement. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence site performance, support digital transformation, and partner with cross-functional teams across Operations, Production, Quality, Maintenance, People and Culture, and Supply Chain.

The right candidate will help shape the site’s MANEX strategy, develop talent, and drive meaningful operational improvements that support long-term manufacturing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing execution of the Manufacturing Excellence strategy across production areas.
- Develop, monitor, and improve KPIs related to productivity, quality, waste reduction, cost optimization, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, align priorities, and implement sustainable operational solutions.
- Train, coach, and engage employees at all levels on Lean tools, continuous improvement principles, Manufacturing Management Systems, and loss reduction practices.
- Support compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards while advancing digital transformation and data-driven decision making.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead sitewide Manufacturing Excellence initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, WCM, and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and drive the site MANEX master plan, including performance improvement priorities and change management activities.
- Lead improvement projects using DMAIC methodology, KPI analysis, OEE improvement, waste reduction, and operational performance reviews.
- Support deployment of Manufacturing Management Systems across departments and align site supply chain teams for cohesive MANEX implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing industries preferred.
- Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, loss reduction, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, WCM, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Ability to develop, analyze, and act on manufacturing KPIs, including productivity, quality, waste, cost, and equipment efficiency metrics.
- Proficiency with data analysis and manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook 365.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanishand English.
- Strong leadership, coaching, collaboration, and change management skills.
- Availability to attend trainings outside Puerto Rico.
