Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MANEX Manager to lead Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives for a high-performance manufacturing operation in Cayey, PR. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on operational excellence leader who is passionate about Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, data-driven decision-making, and building a strong culture of continuous improvement.
The MANEX Manager will play a highly visible role across production, quality, maintenance, and operations teams, helping drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, OEE, cost reduction, waste elimination, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and execution of the site Manufacturing Excellence strategy across production areas.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, DMAIC, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving initiatives.
- Develop, monitor, and improve key performance indicators related to productivity, quality, waste reduction, cost savings, and OEE.
- Partner with Operations, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and support teams to identify performance gaps and implement sustainable improvements.
- Coach employees and leaders on Lean tools, continuous improvement methods, change management, and Manufacturing Management Systems.
- Support digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, daily operational reviews, and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead sitewide Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement projects.
- Manage Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, DMAIC, Kaizen, RCA, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Build and track KPIs for productivity, quality, cost reduction, waste elimination, and OEE performance.
- Coach cross-functional teams and support Manufacturing Management Systems deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as FDA, tobacco, food, or FMCG preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, including MES, ERP, Power BI, and MS Office 365.
- Ability to apply statistical tools, analyze manufacturing data, and convert insights into action.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Spanish fluency required, including spoken, read, and written communication.
- Working knowledge of English required.
Preferred Qualifications
- TPM Practitioner certification preferred.
- Project Management certification such as PMP or equivalent preferred.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing.
- Experience developing and sustaining a site Manufacturing Excellence master plan and communication strategy.
