Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and manage the logistics operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics in a manufacturing setting, and the ability to optimize processes to support production and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
-Manage the inbound and outbound transportation of goods, including vendor coordination and freight optimization.
-Oversee warehouse operations including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and storage.
-Collaborate with procurement, production, and customer service teams to support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
-Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to identify areas for improvement.
-Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
-Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and storage.
-Lead, train, and mentor a team of logistics and warehouse staff.
-Develop and maintain logistics budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
-Strong knowledge of transportation management, inventory systems, and warehouse operations.
-Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
-Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
