Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor for a direct hire opportunity in Aliso Viejo, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented mortgage lending professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working closely with loan origination teams, brokers, borrowers, title, escrow, insurance, and appraisal partners.

The Loan Processor will play a key role in moving loans efficiently from commitment through closing while supporting a positive customer and broker experience. The ideal candidate will bring mortgage lending, hard money lending, loan processing, compliance, underwriting, or origination experience, along with the ability to manage multiple active files, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accurate pipeline documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and close high-volume loan origination activity, with annual production expectations of approximately $100M and quarterly volume of approximately $25M.
- Lead daily origination meetings by providing clear, accurate pipeline updates and helping establish priorities for active deals.
- Issue loan commitments, loan application forms, disclosures, loan documents, and supporting documentation for borrower completion and signature.
- Schedule and conduct borrower Zoom interviews focused on ability to pay, borrower background, and use of proceeds.
- Coordinate with brokers, title, escrow, insurance providers, appraisers, and internal loan origination teams to support timely closings.
- Review preliminary title reports, evaluate income and property value accuracy, maintain pipeline tracking, and ensure compliance with applicable lending requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage loan processing activity from commitment through closing in a high-volume mortgage lending environment.
- Coordinate borrower documentation, disclosures, loan packages, title, escrow, appraisal, and insurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, broker communication records, and deal status updates.
- Support timely loan closings, including issuing commitments quickly and closing loans within established timelines.

- Two or more years of mortgage lending experience.
- Experience in loan processing, origination, underwriting, compliance, or a related mortgage lending function.
- Knowledge of hard money lending, loan documents, credit documents, insurance documents, and closing documents.
- Familiarity with HUD-1 statements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, assignments, title documentation, and escrow documentation.
- Ability to understand and apply business purpose, investment purpose, and consumer transaction compliance requirements.
- Experience working with mortgage loan brokers and mortgage industry software systems.
- Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and detailed documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a responsive, customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, confident, assertive, cooperative, and able to remain consistent and composed under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in hard money lending or private lending environments.
- Experience managing broker outreach, relationship follow-up, and call documentation in a CRM such as ACT.
- Familiarity with structured broker contact methods or high-touch broker relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven lending environment with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
