Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Ops Specialist II (Funding) for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Santa Rosa, CA. This in-office role is ideal for a banking or lending professional with strong loan operations, funding, boarding, and servicing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
The Loan Ops Specialist II will play an important role in funding new loans, supporting loan boarding, verifying documentation accuracy, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and state and federal banking regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with loan operations leadership, internal departments, branches, clients, title companies, and other business partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Fund new loans by reviewing loan documentation, verifying insurance compliance, and confirming all funding conditions are satisfied.
- Provide back-up support for boarding new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications in the bank’s loan software system.
- Maintain accurate funding and boarding logs, perform callback reviews as needed, and support ongoing loan file maintenance, imaging, and record retention.
- Process and review loan payments, construction loan advances, lines of credit advances, disbursements, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and cashier’s checks.
- Respond to funding and servicing inquiries from clients, title companies, attorneys, branches, and internal departments while monitoring the funding email inbox.
- Research and resolve complex loan servicing and funding issues, support audits, and recommend process improvements to management.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Fund new loans and verify documentation, insurance compliance, funding conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Support loan boarding for new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications.
- Process loan payments, advances, disbursements, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and cashier’s checks.
- Resolve loan servicing and funding issues while supporting clients, internal teams, and audit activities.
- Minimum of 3 years of funding, boarding, or loan operations experience.
- Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation and loan servicing processes.
- Understanding of banking policies, operational procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive, and service-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with participation loan servicing, including funding, advances, and payments.
- Experience supporting construction loans, commercial lines of credit, renewals, extensions, and loan modifications.
- Familiarity with loan imaging, record retention, callback procedures, and audit support.
- Prior experience communicating with title companies, attorneys, branch teams, and internal lending departments.
