Job Summary
A well-established legal services organization in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong Florida litigation experience, advanced calendaring skills, and confidence supporting a busy team of attorneys.
The Litigation Legal Assistant will support two partners and one associate in a professional, fast-paced commercial litigation environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide litigation administrative support to two partners and one associate in a busy legal practice.
- Manage heavy calendaring, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, filings, and case-related schedules.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and litigation materials.
- Handle Florida e-filing processes accurately and in compliance with applicable court rules and procedures.
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, coordinate attorney workflow, and support matter organization from intake through resolution.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal team members.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 to $72,000 per year.
- Pay depends on experience.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Orlando, FL.
- Hybrid work may be available after 6 months based on performance.
- Typical hybrid schedule may include up to 2 remote days per week, with Wednesday required in office.
- In some cases, hybrid work may begin with 1 remote day per week after 6 months, with reassessment after a few months.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support litigation attorneys with daily case management, document preparation, calendaring, and administrative coordination.
- Manage heavy litigation calendars and ensure deadlines are tracked accurately and proactively.
- Prepare and submit Florida e-filings while following applicable court rules and procedures.
- Coordinate litigation workflow for multiple attorneys in a deadline-driven legal environment.
- 6 to 10 years of litigation legal assistant, litigation secretary, or related legal support experience.
- Must have strong knowledge of Florida law, Florida court procedures, and litigation support requirements.
- Must have hands-on experience with Florida e-filing.
- Strong calendaring skills are required, including experience tracking litigation deadlines and court dates.
- Ability to support multiple attorneys with competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Excellent proofreading, document formatting, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Strong professional communication skills with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- High attention to detail, discretion, reliability, and ability to handle confidential legal matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting partners or senior litigation attorneys.
- Commercial litigation experience.
- Prior experience working in a mid-sized or larger law firm environment.
- Strong proficiency with legal document management, calendaring, and case management systems.
