Litigation Paralegal

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to four attorneys through all phases of litigation, from initial discovery through trial preparation. This role requires a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong understanding of Florida civil procedure, state and federal e-filing systems, and e-discovery platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Case Management
Manage assigned cases to ensure all deadlines are met.
Maintain case files with exceptional accuracy and organization.
Drafting & Filing
Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
Handle electronic filing through the Florida e-portal in both state and federal courts.

Discovery & Records
Coordinate the collection and review of records, financial statements, and other evidence.
Prepare discovery responses and manage document review and production.
Maintain strong oversight of e-discovery processes and platforms.

Trial Support
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and witness coordination.
Manage logistics related to hearings and trial preparation.

Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and judicial assistants.
Maintain professionalism and clear communication at all times.

Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.
Experience in complex commercial litigation preferred.

Technical Skills
Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Everlaw or other e-discovery databases.
Experience with trial presentation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education
Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies preferred.

Location
Ability to work on-site at the firm’s Water Street office in Tampa.
