About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join our legal team in Tampa, FL. This position plays a vital role in supporting attorneys with complex litigation matters in both Federal and State courts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administrative support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys.
-Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
-File documents electronically in Federal and State court systems, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
-Manage and organize electronic and physical case files.
-Schedule court hearings, depositions, and client meetings in accordance with court and attorney availability.
-Calculate and track legal deadlines and ensure timely filings.
-Assist with client billing: enter time, track billable hours, process reimbursements, and prepare invoices.
-Coordinate with internal departments for case openings, conflict checks, billing, records, and training.
-Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including calls, emails, and mail.
-Support attorney business development efforts, including event planning and coordination.
-Deliver exceptional client service with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications:
Required:

-3–5 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm setting.
-Proficiency in Federal and State court filing procedures and electronic filing systems.
-Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and litigation processes.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal billing software.
-Proven ability to manage multiple attorneys and high-volume caseloads.

Preferred:

-Experience with legal software such as iManage, NetDocuments, or similar DMS.
-Familiarity with legal billing platforms (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar).
-Background in coordinating legal events or business development initiatives.
