Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Litigation) needed in Tampa, FL!
Tampa, FL (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Salary: Up to $72,000 + Year-End Bonus
About the Opportunity
Law Firm is seeking a highly experienced and resilient Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our Tampa litigation team. This is not an entry-level role—we handle high-dollar, complex, and catastrophic injury cases where the stakes are high and the pace is fast.
This position is ideal for a professional who thrives under pressure, takes pride in producing meticulous work, and is confident supporting attorneys in demanding litigation environments.
What You’ll Do
Requesting, tracking, and managing records via subpoena, working closely with record retrieval companies and process servers
Preparing detailed medical chronologies and specials charts from complex medical and billing records
Drafting, proofreading, and e-filing documents in Florida State and Federal Courts
Managing attorney calendars and docketing critical deadlines
Coordinating and scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, and medical examinations
Assisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders
Maintaining and organizing case files and communications with clients, carriers, providers, and opposing counsel
Serving as a professional point of contact on sensitive, high-stakes matters
Ensuring strict confidentiality of all client information
Team Structure:
You’ll work within a collaborative pod model (Attorney, Law Clerk, Paralegal/Secretary), supporting a practice focused heavily on general liability defense and trucking accident cases.
What You Bring
4+ years of current litigation experience (Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or hybrid role)
Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload independently
Strong experience with Florida State & Federal Court e-filing
Solid understanding of Florida court procedures
Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and legal case management systems
Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to take and apply feedback
