A well-established legal services firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL. This onsite role supports attorneys handling employment-related defense litigation before administrative agencies, as well as state and federal courts.
The Litigation Legal Assistant will play an important role in keeping litigation matters organized, deadlines on track, filings accurate, and attorneys fully supported through all phases of the case lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys complex litigation work, frequent attorney interaction, and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling employment-related defense matters in state and federal courts.
- Prepare, format, proofread, bates number, redact, and e-file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies.
- Assist with discovery, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, client communications, correspondence, phone calls, and follow-up tasks.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic case files, coordinate meetings, and support conflict checks and new matter intake.
- Process expense reports and assist with time entry review and revisions as requested.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Onsite position in Tampa, FL.
- Support attorneys through all phases of employment-related defense litigation.
- Prepare, proofread, redact, bates number, and e-file litigation documents.
- Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, case files, correspondence, and attorney support tasks.
- Assist with discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- 3 to 5 years of litigation legal assistant, legal secretary, or comparable litigation support experience.
- Experience supporting attorneys in state and federal court litigation matters.
- Strong knowledge of legal document formatting, proofreading, e-filing, calendaring, and deadline management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional interaction with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside parties.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, team-oriented work style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting employment litigation, labor and employment law, or defense litigation matters.
- Familiarity with administrative agency filings and procedures.
- Experience with bates numbering, redactions, discovery support, and trial preparation.
- Prior experience in a professional legal services or law firm environment.
