Job Summary
A respected legal services organization in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with 3 to 5 years of litigation support experience who enjoys keeping cases organized, deadlines on track, and attorney workflows running smoothly.
The Litigation Legal Assistant will support attorneys with court filings, document preparation, client communications, calendaring, billing assistance, and trial preparation. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, format, and prepare pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Manage litigation case files, including opening new matters, conflict searches, scanning, filing, document naming, and maintaining paper and electronic records.
- Handle litigation calendaring for hearings, depositions, mediations, inspections, e-filed documents, mail, faxes, and key deadlines.
- Coordinate federal, state court, and agency filings, including e-filing documents with attorney approval.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, vendors, and internal team members by phone and email.
- Assist with trial preparation, deposition and mediation binders, attorney travel, expense reports, vendor invoices, pre-bills, client invoices, and coverage for other assistants as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $62,000 to $75,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- 37.5 hour work week.
- In-office role with potential to transition to hybrid after 6 months.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support attorneys with litigation document preparation, court filings, calendaring, and case management.
- Maintain organized paper and electronic case files while tracking deadlines and legal workflow priorities.
- Coordinate litigation support activities related to hearings, depositions, mediations, trial preparation, billing, and client communications.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support role.
- Litigation support experience, including pleadings, court filings, calendaring, case file management, and deadline tracking.
- Familiarity with federal, state court, and agency filing procedures, including electronic filing processes.
- Strong document preparation, proofreading, formatting, and organizational skills.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, adjusters, vendors, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, strong confidentiality standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven legal environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation matters.
- Experience preparing deposition, mediation, and trial materials.
- Familiarity with legal billing support, pre-bills, invoices, expense reports, and vendor invoice processing.
- Ability to work successfully in a collaborative, team-focused legal office environment.
