Litigation Legal Assistant – Tampa

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice in a fast-paced law firm environment. The ideal candidate will have strong defense litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

This is a fully in-office position based in Tampa.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys
Prepare, revise, proofread, and file legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other case materials
File pleadings in both State and Federal courts using electronic court filing systems
Maintain litigation calendars, calculate deadlines, and ensure all court requirements are met
Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, meetings, and client appointments
Manage electronic and physical case files
Assist with billing activities, including time entry review, editing narratives, tracking deadlines, and preparing invoices
Process expense reimbursements and related administrative documentation
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, phone calls, and emails
Collaborate with internal departments on case opening, conflicts checks, records management, and other administrative processes
Deliver high-quality client service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation legal assistant experience within a law firm environment
Strong defense litigation background required
Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a mid-to-large law firm setting
Extensive knowledge of Florida State and Federal court filing procedures
Strong understanding of court rules, litigation deadlines, and case management procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with legal software, Microsoft Office, and document management systems
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
