Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 + Full Benefits
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

About the Opportunity
A highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a fast-paced Business Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and has strong experience with both state and federal court procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys from case inception through resolution
Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
File pleadings in state courts (federal court experience is a plus)
Manage court filings and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
Calculate and track legal deadlines; maintain accurate calendaring
Schedule hearings, client meetings, and appointments
Assist with client billing, including time entry, edits, and invoice coordination
Track expenses and process reimbursements
Maintain and organize electronic and paper case files
Coordinate with internal departments (conflicts, billing, records, etc.)
Handle incoming/outgoing mail, calls, and correspondence
Support attorneys with business development event coordination
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm
Strong state court filing experience required; federal court experience preferred
Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with legal software (FileSite, CMS, SmartTime, Aderant is a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
High attention to detail, professionalism, and client service mindset
