About the Role
Join a highly respected AV Preeminent-rated civil defense team in Tampa focused on insurance defense and medical malpractice. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support attorneys from case filing through trial preparation in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values professional growth and high-quality legal support.
What You’ll Do
• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, inspections, and client meetings
• Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents in Florida state and federal courts
• Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and manage discovery documents
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial notebooks and exhibits
• Coordinate with clients, attorneys, experts, and opposing counsel to keep cases on track
What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, ideally in insurance defense or medical malpractice
• Knowledge of Florida court procedures, filings, and litigation support
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
