Job Title: Legal Assistant – Litigation (Temporary)
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Rate: $32–$40/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (7.5 hours/day, 1-hour lunch)
Assignment Type: Temporary

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for our client. The Legal Assistant is to support attorneys in a busy litigation practice. This position requires a strong understanding of legal terminology. The Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and litigation support, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are managed efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents and correspondence including motions, pleadings, and discovery
Coordinate depositions for parties and expert witnesses
Assist with trial preparation and manage critical deadlines
Maintain litigation matrices, chronologies, and case files
Perform electronic court filings at both State and Federal levels
Manage documents in a paperless environment using document management systems (e.g., Worldox, iManage)
Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff as needed

Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary with prior litigation experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel
Strong typing skills with excellent grammar and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
