Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually (flexible for highly experienced candidates)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced, professional law firm environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives on managing multiple priorities, delivering exceptional client service, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.

The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support, working closely with attorneys, firm departments, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Support attorneys with a wide range of litigation-related administrative tasks
Open new matters, conduct conflicts checks, manage records, and coordinate with firm-wide departments
Prepare, draft, proofread, and file pleadings and legal documents in Federal and State courts
Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
Calculate and calendar deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
Schedule state court hearings and client appointments
Manage electronic and paper case files
Assist with client billing, including time entry narratives, tracking billable tasks, editing invoices, calendaring billing deadlines, and delivering invoices
Track attorney, firm, and client expenses; process reimbursements and payments
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, mail, phone calls, and emails
Coordinate attorney business development events as needed
Deliver consistent, high-quality client service

Qualifications

3–5 years of law firm experience, preferably as a litigation legal assistant
Hands-on experience filing in both Federal and State courts
Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
Comfortable working in a mid-to-large law firm environment
