Legal Administrative Assistant – Medical Malpractice Defense
Downtown Orlando, FL | On-Site Only
$55,000 – $65,000+ (DOE)

The law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy team of attorneys in our medical malpractice defense department. This is a full-time, in-office position located at our Orlando office:

What You’ll Do

Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to assigned attorneys
Review and open attorney mail; assist with time entry daily
Answer and route phone calls professionally and efficiently
Transcribe dictation using BigHand and draft routine correspondence
Prepare and maintain legal documents and case files
Coordinate and schedule depositions, meetings, and other events
Arrange travel and maintain attorney calendars/diary systems
Assist with document delivery as needed (courthouse, law offices, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned to support case activity and workflow

What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of defense litigation experience required
Casualty and/or healthcare experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, professionalism, and client service skills
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and collaborate with a team
