Litigation Attorney
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic and fast-paced legal team. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with 5–7 years of litigation experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional legal representation. Experience in employment law, discrimination matters, insurance defense, general liability, personal injury, property damage, and civil litigation is highly valued. Candidates with both plaintiff and defense experience are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis using legal research platforms and other resources
Collaborate with attorneys, support staff, clients, and opposing counsel to develop effective case strategies
Maintain organized and accurate case files while ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
Negotiate favorable settlements while effectively protecting client interests
Provide strategic legal guidance and maintain high standards of professionalism and client service
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active membership and good standing with the Florida Bar
5–7 years of litigation experience preferred
Experience in insurance defense, employment law, discrimination claims, civil litigation, or related practice areas
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
