Lighting Installation Supervisor (Office & Field)
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Pay: $70,000 to $80,000
Type: Direct Hire
We’re seeking a hybrid office-and-field supervisor to support lighting installation projects across Los Angeles, primarily within LAUSD facilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical or lighting installation background who can oversee subcontractors in the field and manage reporting, schedules, and documentation in the office. This is not a tools-in-hand role. Instead, it blends quality assurance, field leadership, and project tracking. Some evening work will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the main point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, and the internal project team.
• Conduct daily site visits to oversee progress and verify quality, safety, and electrical code compliance.
• Manage schedules, materials, budgets, and progress updates using Excel and internal tracking tools.
• Prepare, update, and pull reports for management and client updates.
• Coordinate with the owner’s project manager to address field issues, scope changes, or scheduling conflicts.
• Lead safety meetings and support OSHA-compliant practices on every job site.
• Provide direction and support to subcontractors to maintain professionalism and quality.
• Ensure each job site is organized and properly closed out.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in lighting or electrical installation, ideally with some supervision or project coordination.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, lighting installation, and code compliance.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and managing multiple job sites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including progress tracking and report generation.
• OSHA safety knowledge or certification preferred.
• Clear communication and strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Who You Are:
Detail-oriented. Proactive. Comfortable in both the field and the office. You enjoy coordinating work, verifying quality, and keeping projects on track. You communicate clearly, lead confidently, and take pride in delivering energy-efficient improvements in public facilities.
