Location: 12209
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Compensation: $20 - $21/hr
Shift – Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Must – Have P & C license
Job Summary
The Insurance Agent is primarily responsible for assisting insurance agency customers with their insurance needs by delivering high-quality, efficient service. This role also contributes to agency profitability through the sale of revenue-generating products and services.
Education and Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of relevant sales or insurance industry experience
• Possesses or has the ability to obtain a Property/Casualty Insurance License in the State of New York
• Prior administrative and customer service experience required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and develop individual lead sources from centers of influence.
• Proactively solicit and market services through community events, outbound calling, marketing lists, and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities with new and existing customers.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and a competitive mindset to meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
• Identify client needs, overcome objections, and close sales by creating value.
• Obtain and maintain knowledge of all business lines, including Automotive, Financial, Travel, and Insurance, with a focus on growth across all areas.
• Recognize opportunities to cross-sell business lines and promote membership benefits.
• Foster and establish strong working relationships with store associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by business needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong computer and research skills.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods.
• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
