A member-focused financial services organization in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Licensed Financial Advisor for a direct hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities

- Meet with members to assess financial needs, discuss goals, and provide sound financial recommendations.
- Recommend and open investment advisory accounts when appropriate and within licensing requirements.
- Service investment advisory accounts through periodic and annual reviews to evaluate progress toward financial goals.
- Develop and execute business development plans to increase financial advisory sales, service levels, and member engagement.
- Generate prospects through outbound calls, branch partnerships, seminars, community events, networking, online marketing, and referrals.
- Conduct financial education seminars and provide branch employee training on investment and financial planning topics.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Location: Oxnard, CA.
- Non-exempt position.
- Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with some overtime as needed.
- Occasional meetings before or after scheduled hours may be required.
- Occasional travel may be required for one-day seminars or out-of-area conferences.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide financial education, counseling, and planning guidance to members.
- Open and service investment advisory accounts when appropriate and properly licensed.
- Develop client relationships through prospecting, referrals, seminars, and member outreach.
- Support business development initiatives to grow the wealth management market.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous consultative client experience as a Wealth Advisor, Financial Advisor, or similar financial services professional required.
- Target experience level is 3 to 5 years in financial advising, wealth management, investment services, or a related client advisory role.
- Active FINRA Series 7 license in good standing required.
- Active FINRA Series 66 license in good standing required.
- Active State Life, Accident, and Health license in good standing required.
- Understanding of basic financial concepts, including budgeting, cash flow, emergency funds, personal balance sheets, insurance, and investments.
- Ability to communicate basic to intermediate financial planning concepts clearly and professionally.
- Ability to understand and follow federal and state regulations related to investments, financial planning, banking, insurance, and financial services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and internet-based tools.
- Knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations as they apply to the role.
- Strong relationship-building, listening, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong commitment to member service, ethical guidance, and professional accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certified Financial Planner, CFP® designation.
- Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA designation.
- Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC® designation.
- Experience working in a credit union, community financial institution, or member-focused financial services environment.
- Experience conducting financial education workshops, seminars, or branch training sessions.
- Proven ability to prospect, build referral networks, and grow advisory relationships.
