Position Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Customs Broker to manage import/export compliance, coordinate with federal agencies, and ensure timely processing of international shipments. This role is critical to our logistics operations and provides a unique opportunity to grow within a company that invests in its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit import/export documentation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, tariffs, and trade laws.
Liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth shipment processing.
Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions.
Identify and resolve compliance issues or discrepancies promptly.
Provide guidance and training to junior staff as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Customs Broker in the state of Washington.
Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in customs brokerage software such as Descartes, CargoWise, CustomsLink, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in logistics or freight forwarding.
Familiarity with international trade compliance systems and reporting.
