Overview
A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join its team. This is a dynamic, hybrid role offering the opportunity to work closely within a collaborative “pod” structure alongside attorneys and legal staff. The ideal candidate will bring experience in insurance defense litigation and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide both paralegal and legal secretarial support within a team-based structure
Assist with general liability defense matters, with a focus on trucking accident cases
Draft, review, and file legal documents in state and federal courts
Manage scheduling, calendaring, and deadlines
E-file documents in accordance with court requirements
Review and summarize medical records
Track billable time (monthly target: 72 hours)
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems
Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer proficiency
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
