Are you a Microsoft Word expert who loves building automated solutions that make work faster and easier? Our client is looking for a Legal Document Automation Specialist to lead the development of our document production tools and templates. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, writing clean VBA code, and creating systems that help legal teams work more efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Build advanced Microsoft Word templates with sophisticated formatting, styles, numbering, and automation.

Create and maintain macros, UserForms, and VBA scripts to streamline the creation of legal documents.

Develop master templates for key legal filings—Complaints, Statements of Damages, Special Letters, Discovery Requests, and Pleadings.

Provide high-level (Tier 3) support for Word issues, including repairing corrupted documents and fixing formatting problems.

Customize the Microsoft Office Ribbon with firm-specific tools for easier document production.

Partner with legal secretaries and practice leaders to identify workflow issues and create technical solutions.

Keep the template library updated to reflect new court rules, branding changes, and software updates.

What You Bring

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert certification — required.

Deep expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, styles, field codes, and content controls.

Strong VBA programming skills with the ability to write clean, well-documented code.

Experience with RibbonX/XML customization.

3–5 years working in a law firm or legal department (preferred).

Strong problem-solving abilities and a talent for translating user needs into technical solutions.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.

Exceptional attention to detail.
