Seeking a detail-oriented Legal Discovery Clerk to support pre-trial discovery in personal injury litigation.
This is a REMOTE position. Must reside in California.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare written responses to civil discovery, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admission, and Judicial Council Forms
• Review and analyze deposition transcripts, medical records, and case documents
• Draft case evaluations, summaries, and recommendations for supervising attorneys
• Prepare meet-and-confer correspondence and communicate with opposing counsel
• Conduct client interviews regarding asbestos exposure and defendant involvement
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree required
• Prior law firm experience required; strong interest in litigation and personal injury law
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of information accurately
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Typing 65+ WPM; WordPerfect experience a plus
