Overview
The Legal Contracts Manager Assistant serves as a key liaison between internal business associates and legal counsel, supporting the effective management of contract processes across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the Enterprise’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of critical contract data. The position also supports cross-functional projects and provides guidance on legal operations and documentation procedures.

This is a full-time temporary role with an anticipated duration of six months. Candidates must be available for hybrid work, including on-site presence to facilitate document execution. The hiring process may include up to two interviews, with the first conducted virtually and the second potentially in person.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between internal clients at all organizational levels and attorneys regarding legal documents.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to contracts under attorney supervision.
• Support cross-functional projects involving Finance, Procurement, and other departments as needed.
• Evaluate available Legal Information Systems (IS) software solutions.
• Manage and steward the Enterprise’s Contract Lifecycle Management systems.
• Provide guidance to business associates on legal operations, including contract review procedures, legal request protocols, and documentation requirements.
• Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions on the use of CLM systems.
• Review electronic legal requests to ensure compliance with documentation and data standards.
• Review agreements and related documents to identify key terms required for contract lifecycle management.
• Maintain and control data used to track contract expirations, renewals, and key milestones.
• Oversee the integrity and management of the organization’s contract data repository.
• Coordinate execution of final documents and manage archival processes in compliance with legal requirements.
• Generate reports from the CLM system as requested.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of legal document structure, terminology, and provisions, including experience preparing documents for signature.
• Ability to evaluate contracts, identify key terms, and assess compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal clients and legal counsel.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines across departments.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in document review and data management.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems and legal information systems.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain records and track contract milestones.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
