The Billing Clerk supports the firm’s financial operations by tracking invoices, payments, and outstanding balances, while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to attorneys and firm management. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced professional services environment. Proficiency in Elite 3E and Microsoft Office/Excel is essential.
Key Duties
Prepare, process, and distribute client invoice binders to attorneys on a monthly basis.
Maintain accurate and organized billing, payment, and accounts receivable records.
Support the Firm Administrator with general accounting and financial functions.
Run financial and billing reports as needed for attorneys and management.
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
Assist with resolving billing discrepancies and responding to attorney or client inquiries.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in legal billing, accounts receivable, or accounting—preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
Must have hands-on experience with Elite 3E billing software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, administrative staff, and the finance team.
