Job Summary

A well-established legal services organization in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Legal Biller to join its accounting team in a full-time, direct hire role. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented billing professional with strong full-cycle billing experience who is comfortable supporting high-volume billing processes, attorney collaboration, client billing guidelines, and month-end deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and verify client billing arrangements, rates, prebills, final bills, fees, and disbursements.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and internal staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Review time entries, edit narratives, process billing adjustments, and maintain client and matter billing information.
- Process electronic billing submissions, resolve e-billing rejections, and ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines.
- Prepare billing reports, fee summaries, disbursement summaries, and other reporting using Excel and related tools.
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on outstanding balances, billing inquiries, and collection-related follow-up.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $27 to $29 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work setting: 100% on-site.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage full-cycle billing from prebills through final billing and follow-up.
- Support attorney and client billing needs while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Process e-billing submissions, billing adjustments, rate updates, and time transfers.
- Prepare billing reports and coordinate with Accounts Receivable on outstanding balances.
- 5+ years of professional billing experience required.
- Strong hands-on full-cycle billing experience required.
- Strong understanding of billing processes, financial databases, and client billing requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume billing environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff at all levels.
- Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure during month-end billing cycles.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Law firm billing experience strongly preferred.
- Electronic billing or e-billing experience preferred.
- Billing experience in a law firm, accounting or CPA firm, or engineering firm preferred.
