Legal Assistant – Pre-Suit

Location: Winter Garden, FL
Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 (Full-Time)
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (½ hour lunch)
Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (½ hour lunch)

Our client is a growing Community Association Law Firm who is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of law office experience to join our Winter Garden office. This position is pre-litigation and focuses primarily on collections, code enforcement, and client communications. No litigation experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with covenant enforcement and collections matters for condominium and homeowners' associations
Prepare and send pre-suit demand letters, file setup, and manage correspondence
Draft and record Notices and Claims of Lien, Releases of Lien, and other routine legal documents
Track and meet deadlines for various matters
Respond to client and owner emails and phone calls in a professional and timely manner
Work with clients to negotiate resolutions and reconcile accounts
Monitor mortgage foreclosure cases and related activity

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a law office setting
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
Comfortable with high-volume email and telephone communication
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with community association law, collections, or real estate is a plus (but not required)
