Legal Assistant (Medical Malpractice Defense)
Orlando, FL (Downtown – Fully Onsite)

A well-established defense law firm in downtown Orlando is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy medical malpractice team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys being a key player in day-to-day case management.

What You’ll Do:
Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to assigned attorneys
Manage daily time entry and assist with timesheet processing
Handle incoming calls, direct inquiries, and maintain professional communication with clients
Prepare, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence (including dictation via BigHand)
Coordinate depositions, meetings, and attorney calendars
Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
Assist with mail handling, document management, and occasional court or office deliveries
Arrange travel accommodations, including flights and hotel reservations
Support additional administrative tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What We’re Looking For:
3–5 years of experience in defense litigation (medical malpractice, casualty, or healthcare experience strongly preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with dictation software (BigHand or similar) is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
