With a high volume of sophisticated cases and a commitment to client service, we are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to support our busy Insurance Defense team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to attorneys handling high-volume insurance defense litigation matters
Draft, format, proofread, and edit correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents
Maintain and organize case files (physical and electronic), including court filings and discovery
Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances
Monitor deadlines and docket important case dates
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Assist with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits and organizing case materials
Process attorney time entry and assist with billing tasks
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in litigation, preferably insurance defense
Strong knowledge of Oregon court rules and e-filing procedures
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle a fast-paced, high-volume workload
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with document management systems a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team
