Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Business Law practice group. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume legal setting and enjoys being part of a team that values both professionalism and a sense of camaraderie.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the Business Law group.
Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including contracts, entity formation filings, and correspondence.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate with clients and internal departments.
Maintain and organize digital and physical case files in compliance with firm policies.
File documents with state and federal agencies, including the Oregon Secretary of State and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting.
Support client communications with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications:
2+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in business, transactional, or corporate law.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and document formatting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Familiarity with Oregon corporate filing procedures a plus.
