About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with a strong litigation background to support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced law firm environment. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of the litigation process, excels at managing deadlines and calendars, and provides high-quality administrative and legal support with minimal supervision.
This role is critical to the smooth operation of the litigation team and requires strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage scheduling for attorneys, including court dates, deadlines, hearings, meetings, and reminders
• Maintain, monitor, and proactively manage attorney calendars to ensure no conflicts or missed deadlines
• Perform dictation, transcription, and preparation of legal correspondence and documents
• Create, draft, format, proofread, and revise legal documents related to litigation matters
• Handle time entry and assist with billing support as needed
• Conduct statewide roster and docket monitoring, tracking case activity and deadlines
• Assist with court filings, service of process, and deadline tracking
• Answer phones and handle routine communications in a professional manner
• Perform administrative tasks including filing, scanning, copying, and document organization
• Provide day-to-day support to Paralegals and Attorneys as requested
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the litigation team

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a law firm as a Legal Assistant or similar role
• Thorough understanding of the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and law firm operations
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with legal case management, e-filing systems, and transcription tools preferred
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative legal team
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting multiple litigation attorneys and paralegals
• Familiarity with state and federal court systems and docketing procedures
• Strong document formatting and proofreading skills
