Legal Assistant
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $32–$40/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (7.5 hours/day, 1-hour lunch)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support our litigation team. This role is critical to the daily operations of our law office and requires strong litigation experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys
Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence, including motions, pleadings, and discovery
Coordinate depositions for parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses
Assist with trial preparation and manage deadlines and filing requirements
Maintain case matrices, chronologies, and related documentation
Handle State and Federal electronic court filings (e-filing systems)
Manage documents in a paperless environment using document management systems such as Worldox or iManage
Utilize Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel at an advanced level
Must-Have Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of five (5) years of legal work experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm or legal environment
Preferred Qualifications
Five or more years of legal assistant experience
Prior experience in insurance defense or personal injury defense litigation
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent typing skills with high attention to grammar and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Proven ability to maintain highly confidential information
Professional, respectful, and team-oriented demeanor
