We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and ensure efficient daily operations within the firm. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and experienced in managing sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, document preparation, and file management.

Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

Assist with case management, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining calendars.

Coordinate communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and external partners.

Prepare and file legal documents electronically (e-filing) in state and/or federal courts.

Conduct basic legal research and gather information relevant to cases.

Manage incoming mail, emails, and phone calls, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.

Handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

Support billing processes, time entry, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a related administrative role (law firm experience preferred).

Strong understanding of legal terminology, document formats, and court procedures.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal practice management software a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
