We are seeking a Temporary Legal Assistant to support attorneys in all phases of litigation. This role will provide essential administrative and organizational support, ensuring cases run smoothly from intake through hearings and trial.
Responsibilities:
Draft pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and evidence.
Track and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court dates.
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and support attorneys during hearings, trials, and depositions.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, courts, and opposing counsel.
Conduct factual and legal research to assist with case preparation.
Handle administrative tasks such as managing contact lists, tracking case progress, and assisting with court filings.
Requirements:
Experience with civil litigation.
Basic understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.
Proficiency with legal software and standard office technology.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
