A respected national law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy insurance defense litigation practice in Saint Petersburg, FL. The Legal Administrative Assistant will play an important role in keeping litigation matters organized, deadlines on track, and attorneys well-supported. Key Responsibilities

- Draft, edit, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Manage Florida state court e-filings and assist with federal filings when applicable.
- Maintain attorney calendars, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, trial schedules, and case-related appointments.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, CMEs, meetings, conferences, and related logistics.
- Conduct conflict checks, assist with new file setup, and organize electronic case files.
- Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys, including task tracking, expense reporting, and vendor invoice processing.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $62,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Direct hire, full-time, non-exempt position.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support a high-volume insurance defense litigation practice with legal document preparation, filing, calendaring, and case administration.
- Manage Florida ePortal filings, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and attorney schedules.
- Coordinate litigation-related logistics and maintain organized electronic case files.
- Provide responsive administrative support to a team of attorneys in a deadline-driven environment.

- Prior legal administrative or legal secretarial experience is required.
- 2+ years of litigation experience is required, with insurance defense experience strongly valued.
- Strong knowledge of Florida ePortal and Florida court procedures is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong proofreading, formatting, grammar, and document accuracy skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
- Strong communication, follow-up, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and team-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

- Insurance defense litigation experience.
- Federal ECF filing experience.
- Experience with Worldox, Chrome River, or Aderant.
- Experience supporting attorneys handling first-party or third-party insurance coverage matters.
