We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Wellness & Leave Program Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert on employee leaves of absence, ergonomics, and workplace safety initiatives. You’ll ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while driving programs that keep our people safe, supported, and productive.
Responsibilities
- Lead ergonomic assessments across corporate and field locations both onsite and virtually to enhance comfort and reduce injury risk.
- Partner with managers, Safety Representatives, and employees to promote stay-at-work/return-to-work initiatives.
- Maintain accurate data in our LOA systems to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and related state laws.
- Generate required employee communications and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions between leave and return-to-work status.
- Support employees and managers in ergonomic accommodations and ADA-compliant work placements.
- Oversee health and wellness programs that promote total employee well-being.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, IT, and Safety teams to deliver program improvements and process efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Experience in Leave of Absence management, ADA compliance, and family/medical leave laws (federal and state).
- 1–2+ years of related HR, safety, or ergonomics experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS tools (Oracle experience a plus).
- Certified Office Ergonomics Evaluator credential (or willingness to pursue).
