Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Welder for a direct hire opportunity in Orange County, CA, within a manufacturing and metal fabrication environment serving the aerospace and defense industry. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced Welding Team Lead who enjoys staying hands-on while guiding daily production, supporting weld quality, and helping a team perform at a high level.

This is a strong opportunity for a welder with MIG and TIG expertise who is ready to take on more ownership, mentor others, and contribute to precision fabrication work. Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily welding and fabrication activities while remaining hands-on in production.
- Assign work, support scheduling needs, and assist with training and mentoring team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform MIG, GMAW, TIG, and GTAW welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Inspect work for quality, dimensional accuracy, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and communicate project status, priorities, and concerns with leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $120,000 to $135,000 per year.
