We are currently seeking an experienced Lead SMAW Welder to join a growing team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stick welding within the oil & gas industry and the ability to lead crews in fast-paced field environments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of SMAW (stick welding) experience
- Prior experience in the oil & gas industry
- Proven leadership or foreman experience
- Ability to read blueprints, weld procedures, and fabrication drawings
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if needed
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality SMAW welding on structural and industrial projects
- Lead and coordinate crews in field and shop environments
- Ensure all work meets company and industry standards
- Maintain safe working conditions and enforce safety procedures
- Assist with project planning, execution, and mentoring junior welders
This is a fully onsite, full time, temp to hire opportunity
