Job Summary
A growing technology services organization in the Shreveport, LA area is seeking a Lead Programmer to guide software development projects, support application enhancements, and help deliver reliable business technology solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of business software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern programming tools and best practices.
- Support web and database-driven applications, including updates, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with users, analysts, and technical teams to define requirements and deliver practical software solutions.
- Review code, troubleshoot issues, and mentor other programmers when needed.
- Help improve development processes, documentation, version control, and software quality standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead software development projects from requirements through deployment.
- Develop and maintain web, desktop, or business applications.
- Support database design, reporting, integrations, and application troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance, code review, and quality control for programming work.
- 3 to 5 years of software development or programming experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or similar technologies.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other relational database platforms.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar development and source control tools.
- Ability to build and support APIs, web services, reports, and database-driven applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to organize priorities, support teammates, and deliver quality work on time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading small development teams or mentoring junior programmers.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, Agile methods, or project management tools.
- Experience supporting business applications in a computer or IT services environment.
