Position Overview
The Lead Production Technician is responsible for overseeing daily production operations while actively performing hands-on technical work. This role combines machine operation expertise with team leadership to ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Technical Execution
• Set up, adjust, and maintain silk screen printing and/or laser marking equipment
• Perform machine parameter setup, first-article verification, and process optimization
• Troubleshoot technical issues such as misalignment, print defects, or unclear laser marking
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Leadership & Production Oversight
• Lead daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
• Allocate manpower, machines, and workstations based on production plans
• Supervise adherence to work instructions, quality standards, safety protocols, and 5S practices
• Monitor production performance and address issues related to quality, equipment, or staffing

Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Support
• Support process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and yield
• Partner with Engineering and Quality teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency

Team Development & Management
• Train, coach, and provide technical guidance to production operators
• Support onboarding and skill development of new hires
• Assist with attendance tracking, team performance, and maintaining a stable work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
• Technical school or associate degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• 2–3+ years of experience in silk screen printing and/or laser marking processes
• Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and machine setup capabilities
• Solid understanding of production workflows and quality standards
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Basic knowledge of design software (e.g., Photoshop) is a plus
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Chinese) is a plus
